2013 has been both a good and a sad year for us at Shahrans. Even though we haven't travelled all over for shows this year we have many great memories with friends along the ringsides. The most memorable happenings for us during 2013 in pictures:

SKK Stockholm international Easter show: Tamina was entered first time after having her puppies and gained her Swedish Champion title! She was also BOB and BIG-4.

SKK Lidköping national show: Tamina won the group!

Norwegian Basenji Specialty show: Zolo won BEST IN SHOW second year in a row and Conny was BOS! Piff won the 4-6 months bitch puppy class!

Shahrans Sky Rocket "Bibbi" was BEST IN SHOW puppy at SKK Vänersborg international show, her very first show!

Shahrans Starlet "Piff" started out by winning BEST IN SHOW puppy at SKK Borås. She has not less than 4 x BIS puppy including BEST IN SHOW puppy at the Swedish Basenji Specialty show. She was also BEST IN SHOW 2 puppy at SKK Sofiero international show, BEST IN SHOW 2 puppy at SSUK Borås national show, BEST IN SHOW 3 puppy at DKK Ballerup international show and has a total amount of 9 x BOB puppy and 1 x BOB baby. At the Norwegian Basenji Specialty show she was best bitch puppy 4-6 months. Piff also qualified for Puppy Of The Year - all breeds - 2013 in Sweden. She entered three shows as a junior and has three placements in best bitch, CC and is Norwegian AND Swedish Junior Winner 2013.

Shahrans Wish Upon A Star "Pippi" has won several BOB puppy, BOS puppy and placement in the group. As a junior she has several placements in best bitch and CC.

Shahrans Blue Star "Tyson" got a nice placement in best male at the Swedish Winner show, his first time as a junior. He also has several BOB puppy and placement in the group on unofficial shows as a puppy.

Shahrans Ladybird "Svea" is shown with R-CC from junior class.

Shahrans American Eagle "Thunder" has many BOB puppy, BOS puppy and placements in the group from puppy class. At his first show as a junior he was BOS with CC.

Shahrans El Bandito "William" has BOB baby, BOS baby, many BOB puppy, BOS puppy and placements in BEST IN SHOW both from baby- and puppy class. As a junior he has won several BOB, junior-CC's, and a placement in the group. He is Russian Junior Champion, Belarus Junior Champion and Belarus Junior Winner 2013.

Shahrans Apocalypse "Flashy" was BOB baby (out of 7) the day she left us for her new home in France. There she continued her success and has several BOB puppy, BEST IN SHOW puppy, many BOB junior and BOB, group placement, BEST IN SHOW junior and BEST IN SHOW junior bitch. She is also Luxembourg Junior Champion.

Shahrans Apocalypse "Flashy" was BOB baby (out of 7) the day she left us for her new home in France. There she continued her success and has several BOB puppy, BEST IN SHOW puppy, many BOB junior and BOB, group placement, BEST IN SHOW junior and BEST IN SHOW junior bitch. She is also Luxembourg Junior Champion.

Behukai Egyptian Treasure "Tamina" started the year by gaining her Swedish Champion title on the first try after having her puppies. She was also BIG-4 at that show (Stockholm international Easter show). A few weeks later she was Group Winner at Lidköping national show. Her co-owner showed her to Runner-Up BEST IN SHOW (BIS-2) at Timrå national show and Tamina finnished the year with best bitch at the Swedish Winner show with the title Swedish Winner 2013.

Kimwitu's Zolotaya "Zolo" did it again! She was #1 Basenji Bitch Of The Year in Sweden 2013! She was BEST IN SHOW at the Norwegian Specialty show (second year in a row), BIG-3 at SKK Backamo national show, BIG-2 at DKK Ballerup international show with the title Copenhagen Winner 2013 then she took a break from the rings to become mother of our "Red Hots", born in December.

Zolo's and Myran's puppies are 2 weeks old today! All four of them have opened their eyes and started playing with eachother. Time flies!

The puppies are 12 days old today and two of them have opened their eyes!

Our "Christmas-litter" is 6 years old today! Happy birthday Bianca, Effe, Rocky and Silver!

Our "Star-litter" is one year old today! Happy birthday Tyson, Pippi and Piff!

Zolo's and Myran's puppies are 1 week old today and look like fat rats at the moment. ;) They eat well and have gained a lot of weight. Individual pictures can be seen on the puppy page.

Our "Lure Coursing - litter" turns 5 years old today! Happy birthday Talli, Bobby, Felix, Muzzlan and Jippu!

Zolo gave birth to four gorgeous little puppies early this morning! 3 males and 1 female, all red/white. Mother and babies are doing well. Welcome precious little ones! <3

Our "Phantom Of The Opera - litter" turns 4 years old today! Happy birthday Yun, Melissa, Fantomet and Ängla!

Zolo wasn't able to fight for the title on the last (big) shows in Sweden but she didn't have to! :) She is BASENJI BITCH OF THE YEAR 2013 in Sweden, even though she is not shown much! Highlights with Zolo in the rings this year are when she was Best In Show at the Norwegian Specialty show, second year in a row, and when she got the title Copenhagen Winner 2013 (with a nice BIG-2) at her last show before her well deserved break from the show rings that she is now on. She has also got some nice Group- and BIS-placements during the year. Zolo has previously been Basenji Of The Year 2012 in Sweden, Basenji Bitch Of The Year 2012 in Denmark and Runner-Up Basenji Bitch Of The Year 2011 in Sweden. Now we are SO excited to see what she will give in the puppy box in a few days...

3:rd on the list for Basenji Bitch Of The Year is our SE CH SE W-13 Behukai Egyptian Treasure "Tamina" who has had to stand back for Zolo this year too in the rings but still managed to climb high on the list this year too (last year she was 2:nd). Next year will be Tamina's year and Zolo gets to stay home.

Zolo has gone 8 weeks today from first mating... It's getting closer! :)

LUX JCH Shahrans Apocalypse "Flashy" was BOB junior at Rouen international show today! She was also shortlisted among the three best juniors in the finals. Congratulatons Lise! BOS was Ch Guerlain To Kimwitu Of Swala Pala, father of our "Star-litter".

Albin and I (Therese) did a crazy night trip to Stockholm in the middle of a snow storm that had hit Sweden the night before. We had our doubts about going at all but decided to give it a try. We made it there (but the roads were horrible) in early morning after driving all night. The results did go our way though and we had a great day!

I had looked so much forward to see and show Shahrans Blue Star "Tyson" and he turned out to be a joy to show! This was his first show as a junior and he finnished 2:nd in the big junior class and was finally 4:th best male with R-CC! His litter sister Piff did great too and won her class with the title "Swedish Junior Winner 2013"! In best bitch she placed 4:th, nicely shown by Marjukka (Thank you!!). Piff can now, 11 months old, call herself: SE JW-13 NO JW-13 Shahrans Starlet. Piff also qualified for Crufts 2014!

The third dog to show was Tamina who not only won the champion class, but also best bitch with CACIB and the title "Swedish Winner 2013"! She finnished the day with going BOS. Tamina is SE CH SE W-13 Behukai Egyptian Treasure and she also got a Crufts qualification! 30 basenjis were entered.

Zolo has gone 7 weeks now from first mating and she is getting big! Only 2 more weeks to go now...

Shahrans Angel Of Music "Ängla" and Shahrans Blue Star "Tyson" have been acting models and what a beautiful couple they are!

Two years ago our "Heart-litter" (Kincha's Runner In Sunrise "Elvis" x Ch Shahrans Moondance To Karimba "Hanna") was born! Happy birthday Nea, Pluto, Uuka and Nelson on your second birthday!

One year ago today Tamina gave birth to our "Rollercoaster-litter" (Ch Kimwitu's Valentino "Conny" x Ch Behukai Egyptian Treasure "Tamina")! Happy birthday Svea, Bibbi, Thunder, William, Flashy and Katla!

Our French boy Indigo Of Swala Pala "Sawyer" is 3,5 months old now. He will be joining our pack in January. Thank you Lise for the picture, can't wait to get him here!

Last night our SE CH NO CH DK CH NORD CH C.I.B KBH W-11 SE W-11 NO W-11 Kimwitu's Valentino "Conny" became father of five puppies; two tricolour boys, two tricolour girls and one red/white girl, at Faraoland! Mother of the litter is SE CH SBIS Chagmas Rose To Faraoland "Lexi". Congratulations to breeder Helena! They all look lovely!

The Norwegian Winner show 2013 became a good one for our "Star"-girls Piff and Pippi. Piff was best junior out of 16 (5 males and 11 females) and got the title "Norwegian Junior Winner 2013". She was also 3:rd best bitch with R-CC. Pippi was 3:rd best junior bitch. 26 basenjis were entered.

They say tragedy never comes alone… Our sweet Billa followed her true love, Raffe, over the rainbow bridge today. She was our first basenji and the one who made us fall in love with the breed all those years ago. Billa had a long, happy and healthy life. She would have turned 15 years old in a few days… Sleep well little girl, you will always be loved <3

LUX JCH Shahrans Apocalypse "Flashy" did it again! She was BOB junior and BOB in tough competition at Metz international show! She was also shortlisted in the group and in the junior-BIS. Congratulations Lise! Flashy has, at the age of 11 months won 3 x BOB and 7 x BOB junior, all ten times eighter shortlisted or placed in the group or BIS... We are so proud!

Shahrans Starlet "Piff" made her debute in junior class today at Växjö international KC show and she did great! She won the big junior class (7) and was finally 2:nd best bitch with CC! SE CH Behukai Egyptian Treasure "Tamina" was 3:rd best bitch with R-CACIB.

Raffe was the dog that never got old. Up until yesterday he was the big goofy puppy that he had always been and this is how he will be remembered. This morning he left us, very unexpectedly and so sudden... It's hard to believe that he is really gone... Sleep well little Nafnaf... You will always be loved and missed by us all <3

Shahrans Blue Star "Tyson" was BOB puppy and BIG-2 puppy today at an unoff. show in Köping. Congratulations Carola and handler Anna! Well done! :)

The first one in our "Star-litter" has made her debute in junior class. Shahrans Wish Upon A Star "Pippi", who has just turned 10 months old, was 3:rd best bitch with her first CC at Letohallen nat. show yesterday! Today she was 3:rd best bitch with R-CC. Congratulaions Jeanette!

Shahrans Ladybird "Svea" was shown in junior class at the big international Lahti show in Finland. 31 basenjis were entered and Svea was 2:nd in her class and R-CC winner! Congratulations Sanna-Maija and Soile!

LUX JCH Shahrans Apocalypse "Flashy" (Ch Kimwitu's Valentino x Ch Behukai Egyptian Treasure) was shown at a national show in France today and was once again BOB junior! Congratulations Lise and also Annemari for Stormy's BOS junior!

After 1 000 km on the roads today we are very happy to say that it was worth the trip! Myran and Zolo had a date today and it was love (or something similar to it...) at first sight! Red/white puppies are expected at kennel Shahrans around December 15! LUX JCH Shahrans Apocalypse "Flashy" was BOB junior yesterday at Douai national show. She was also shortlisted among the 10 best juniors of the show (out of ~70). Today, at Douai international show, she was BOB junior again and went all the way to BOB in tough competition! She was picked out among the 10 best juniors of the show again (out of 87) and shortlisted in the group aswell. This little girl has done SO well in the rings!! Congratulations Lise!

Shahrans Music Of The Night "Yun" was BOB at a Lure Cloursing club championship today in Krånge! SE LCCH Shahrans Racer In Red "Felix" was 2:nd! Congratulations Denise!

SE CH Behukai Egyptian Treasure "Tamina" was at a double show in Sundsvall/Timrå with her co-owners this weekend and was BOB and BEST IN SHOW 2 at the national show on Saturday and 2:nd best bitch with R-CACIB on ine international show on Sunday. Well done Anders and Tamina!

William entered three shows this weekend and did GREAT on all of them, being BOB junior and BOB on all three shows! He also gained his last jun-CC's to finnish his Russian Junior Champion title! BIG congratulations Irina! This fantastic little boy has done so well! 3 x BOB puppy, 1 x BOS puppy, 1 x BOB baby, 1 x BOS baby, 1 x BEST IN SHOW 2 puppy, 1 x BEST IN SHOW 2 baby, 5 x BOB, 6 x BOB junior, 6 x Junior-CC, Belarus Junior Champion, Russian Junior Champion, Belarus Junior Winner 2013 and a BIG-3 at 10 months of age!

SE CH US CH NORD JW-07 Dipop Red Dancer "Myran" (father of our planned litter) is eye tested with minor PPM in one eye, otherwise clear. Lucky Swede's Gold Sun "Sola" (a daughter of our Ch Faraoland Esenjo Rafhael "Raffe") is DNA tested CLEAR/NORMAL for Fanconi Syndrome.
